Royal Copenhagen
Royal Copenhagen was established in 1775, in order to manufacture gifts for international friends of the Danish Royal Family. Since its foundation, their policy "only excellent quality" has not changed, and their artistic products are appreciated by Royal Families of the world. Delicate lace skill, high quality hand wrote pattern, the Copenhagen Blue; Artisans of Royal Copenhagen pass those traditional crafts from generation to generation, and the proudness of working for this tableware brand.
Designer: Arnold Krog
Restoring a castle, reconstructing the Blue Fluted pattern Arnold Krog was educated at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture, and went on to specialise in restoring castles in their original historical style. In 1885 he was appointed artistic director of the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory. His first undertaking at the factory was to reconstruct and relaunch the ancient Blue Fluted pattern. In the course of this work he created the magnificent service that has been one of Royal Copenhagen's finest for more than a hundred years.
