GINORI 1735 / Richard Ginori is a leading Italian ceramic manufacturer and a top brand that boasts immense popularity. In 1735, Marquis Carlo Ginori, who was well versed in mineralogy, established a kiln in his own territory of Duccia, near Florence, in order to build a porcelain kiln in Italy that could rival the kiln of the Royal Saxon porcelain factory. During the reign of the second generation Lorenzo Ginori, various porcelain was imported from abroad, and improvements were repeated, resulting in the creation of white porcelain, which is praised as "the white skin of Tuscany".
