Royal Copenhagen Memorial Plate 250th Anniversary Plate 18cm 1074930
Description
A memorial plaque has been launched to commemorate Royal Copenhagen's 250th anniversary in 2025.
Representing an important element in the history of the craft, the plaque features
the silhouette of the painter in reference to the memorial plaque launched in 1975 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Royal Copenhagen.
The silhouette is
inspired by a 1927 paper cutout by Else Hasselriis (1878-1953), an artist who worked in a porcelain factory from 1904 to 1949.
Else Hassellis is also famous as a paper cutout artist for characters from H.C. Andersen's fairy tales.
The anniversary plate, which also features the contemporary logo of Royal Copenhagen, reflects the
fusion of past and present.
The motif was designed by Alan Terkirsen.
Sold separately item number 000006800500 plate stand (stand) 5 inches and
item number 004000000001 Hook for wall plate (plate) are available. It
is produced using the underglaze technique (a method of glazing and baking on top of painting) that beautifully expresses the shades of cobalt blue. Relax with
your favourite ear plates/memorial plates, carefully hand-painted by Royal Copenhagen's skilled painters
.
In addition, as a figurine (object) with a strong presence, it
adds a high-quality and gorgeous atmosphere to a chic interior space.
Ear plates are also known as "Christmas plates".
It has become a custom to eat cake on a plate for your birth year or anniversary at Christmas.
The 18 cm plate is an
elegant and gorgeous plate that is perfect for entertaining as a dessert plate (dessert plate) or cake plate (cake plate). For
those who are indebted to you on a daily basis, it is ideal not only as an
elegant gift and a festive gift or present for various anniversaries such as Christmas, birthdays, marriage, childbirth, and New Year's celebrations
, but also
as a reward for your hard work.
Ear plates are produced every year, and if the plate of that year is produced, the
mold will be destroyed and additional products will not be manufactured.
For that reason, there may be an unexpected premiere on the plate of the past era.
As with other Copenhagen products, the shade of painting will differ slightly from plate to plate.
Shades are a matter of taste, not which is better or worse.
*Designed by Alan Tarkirsen.
* Due to the specifications of the brand box, blue color transfer may inevitably occur at the bottom of the plate thread.
This is not a defect.
You can remove it by wiping it with a soft sponge.

The Danish ceramics manufacturer "Royal Copenhagen" is about to be sucked into the world of blue and white. In the early 1770s, the scientist Müller succeeded in firing the first Danish porcelain. He worked on pottery using the "undergrace technique," in which unglazed vessels are colored and baked at high temperatures with a top medicine, and they became widely known and used by the upper classes of Europe in the 19th century. After that, he grew up under the warm protection of the Danish royal family.
Royal Copenhagen's products, which have been created while reflecting each era, are still passed down with the best craftsmanship cultivated over the years. Influenced by Japan's Arita ware, the cobalt blue arabesque pattern, which is a tradition in Copenhagen, strongly feels the spirit of delicate and prestigious craftsmen.
Royal Copenhagen's figurines have a long history. Since the first figurine was unveiled in 1889 at the Parc du Expo in Paris, it has continued to be produced with the same technique to this day, supported by the craftsmanship of skilled craftsmen. While inheriting the tradition, new figurines are announced every year. In addition, he has a reputation for his heartwarming expressions and gestures.
