Iittala "Ultima Thule" Clear Highball Tumbler 380ml (set of 2)
Description
It is a novel design as if you are holding the ice itself in your hand and the melted drops are dripping. The three drops act as legs to support the glass. In addition, since the drinking mouth is thinned, the mouthfeel feels gentle. The Ultima Thule was designed in 1968 by Tapio Wirkkala. Ultima Thule stands for the northern, harshest and holiest place covered in ice and snow. Inspired by the mystique of the Arctic, the winter landscape of Finland and the glass-clear ice, Tapio Vilkara condensed the Finnish wilderness into the design of this glass. The unique form is still born from the indomitable and tireless skills of glassblowers.
Tapio Vilkara (1915-1985), who has made a worldwide name in Finnish design as a versatile talent, has been a designer of Ittala since 1946. At the same time, he has won numerous awards for his multifaceted and multi-material work, which is said to be the father of the applied arts of Finnish design.
Inspired by the rich nature of his native Lapland, he has presented a wide range of works, from glassware to stamp designs, practical graphics and even urban landscapes, especially when it comes to glass, alongside Kaj Franck and Timo Sarpaneva. He is known as one of Finland's leading designers.

Also, depending on the product, when placed on a table etc., it may rattle slightly. These products delivered by Noble are products that have cleared the quality standards of the manufacturer. Thank you for your understanding.

In 1881, Iittala was born as a glassware manufacturer in the wilderness of Finland, a country of forests and lakes. High-quality glassware by glassblowing meister Peter Macnus Afrahamsson captivated people at the time as "glass with a special brilliance". Since then, as a glass manufacturer that inherits its beautiful brilliance and traditional craftsmanship, we have continued to make high-quality, high-sensitivity products.
Created under the policy of "making glassware with the purest brilliance", "Ittala" glassware does not use any lead that is harmful to the human body or the environment. This is based on the spirit of the Nordic people who love nature and live in harmony with nature, and it is supported by people all over the world who love the earth. In addition, it is resistant to direct sunlight and has excellent practicality such as being resistant to scratches.
In recent years, in addition to glassware, Finland has been expanding its collection as a "comprehensive brand of tableware" representing Finland.
Ittala's products are easy to use with beautiful forms, and you can enjoy endless combinations of colors that transcend materials. In addition, it features a simple and modern design that can be used carefully and for a long time beyond generations from parents to children.
Points to note about how to care for glassware]
When cleaning glassware compatible with dishwashers, please set the washing temperature to 65C.
Cleaning at higher temperatures can cause scratches, cracks and chips.
