Imperial Porcelain Manufactory is Russia's oldest kiln established in St. Petersburg as the emperor's exclusive porcelain factory, at the order of Elisabetha, daughter of Russian Emperor Peter the Great, in 1744 during the Romanov dynasty, which built up a glamorous Russian culture. From the beginning of the kiln, the kiln produced ceramics used by the Romanov family and the court, and decorated the tables and rooms of the dinner party held at all courts, including the Winter Palace in St. Petersburg and the Ekaterina Palace in Tsarskoye Sero.

In 1925, to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the founding of the Russian Academy of Sciences, it was renamed the Lomonosov Porcelain Factory after the great scientist Mikhail Lomonosov, who was active in the era of Elisabeth. Since 1991, production of everyday utensils and tableware has rapidly revived, and the former brilliant porcelain production has been reproduced. It is rare for Lomonosov's products to flow out of the gate, and only some collectors own them, but since privatization in 1993, exports to the United States and Japan have begun, making it easier to own products that could only be viewed at museums and museums.
