* About Meissen painting
Meissen products are carefully hand-drawn by craftsmen one by one, so even if they are the same series and the same item, the expression, color, and design may differ. Please note.
In 1709, the Meissen kiln was the first in Europe to succeed in producing white porcelain. Until then, porcelain had only been imported from the East, and was a very valuable item that only royalty and aristocrats could have. As a result of nine years of research on the orders of August, then Margrave of Saxony (now Germany), white porcelain was born. Since then, Meissen has gained worldwide fame as the oldest kiln in Europe.
The symbol of the sword called "Blue Twin Swords" is said to mean that the secret law cannot be left out. Even now, all the paintings are hand-painted by proud artisans, and the beauty cultivated in this tradition is widely admired.
"About tableware back stamp"
The design of the back stamp may differ from the product image depending on the time of manufacture.
It has been 270 years since the Meissen classic series "Blue Onion" was born in 2005. A new addition to this historic design has been added. Meissen, which aims for "everyday art", replaces the traditional Blue Onion pattern with a modern form in "style".
Created with the modern lifestyle in mind, the Blue Onion Style has a fairly clean design that blends in with modern interiors.
