Features, characteristics, and handling of the product]
Characteristics by material and manufacturing process
○ Color rangeDepending
on natural conditions such as season and temperature, and the degree of heat when firing with glaze, the vessel will show various expressions. It is very rare for vessels made of the same material to be baked to exactly the same color, and if there are 100 of them, each one will show a different look.
○ Color unevennessIn
one vessel, there may be places where the expression of the color is not uniform. One factor is that depending on the shape of the vessel, there are places where the glaze is applied thickly or thinly. As a result, the expression of the soil changes even in a single vessel. ○ The glaze
will be
in a sagging state due to unevenness caused by hand-applying glaze and cosmetic soil and the flow of glaze during firing.
〇 Metal markWhen
eating, black or gray lines may adhere to the tableware due to contact between metal cutlery such as knives and spoons. This happens due to the adhesion of metal powder scraped off by the dishes to the dishes. Once it is attached, it is very difficult to get rid of it.
○
Pottery, which is mainly composed of pinhole clay, contains a lot of air in the vessel during the unglazed stage, which appears as air bubbles on the surface of the glaze during firing. This is called a pinhole.
○
The soil used as the raw material for iron powder pottery contains iron, and when the vessel is baked, it appears as a black dot on the surface. Since it is more abundant in red and black soil, vessels that use that soil are more likely to produce iron powder.
Handling
○ Characteristics: Do
not immerse hot vessels in water or place them on a cold cooking surface, as sudden changes in temperature may cause damage. Also, please avoid putting the bowl out of the refrigerator immediately in the microwave. As the
years go by, there are some small cracks (penetrations) on the surface, but there is no hindrance to use.
○ Before useWhen
using a microwave oven, wipe off the moisture on the outside.
A company that plans, designs, and sells tableware in Seto City, Aichi Prefecture, which operates the Studio M Sobokai tableware brand.
Studio M, a home-use brand created with home use in mind, and
Sobokai, a professional use brand designed to be used in hotels and restaurants, and
Marumitsupoteri propose a variety of "fun meals" by planning and designing tableware for these two brands.
There is only one vessel that is not the same.
Marumitsupoteri's tableware is made from natural soil dug from the mountains, shaped by human hands, and designed with their atmosphere and texture in mind. Natural soil contains a variety of substances, from inorganic substances such as metals and stones to organic matter that has changed over the years from plants.
And most of the work of creating vessels is done by hand.
Therefore, no two Marmitsupoteri products are the same.
"Request for the purchase of
Marumitsu Poteri products" Please note that many parts of Marumitsu Poteri products are finished by hand, and there are individual differences in the color and thickness of the glaze.
Since pottery is manufactured with natural raw materials, phenomena such as iron powder, pinholes, baldness, unevenness, distortion of the glaze, and some rattling occur in the manufacturing process. Products with this phenomenon that have passed the inspection of the kiln are recognized as individual differences as described above, and we cannot accept returns / exchanges. Thank you for your understanding.
In addition, the color may differ from the actual one depending on the settings and lighting of the monitor you are using. We cannot return or exchange for these reasons, so we appreciate your understanding.
Marumitsupoteri products have vessels that are painted in various ways.
Mainly those that use 1. copper plate, those that are pressed with 2. Paper, and those that are drawn with 3. Brush.
1. Copper plate
]Copper plate is a technique in which patterned washi paper is manually pasted and painted. As a result, some may be slightly wrinkled or faint. There may be a misalignment in the part where the pattern is matched. As a characteristic unique to manual work, this technique is often used for products with a vintage feel.
2.Judge]
Hand-carved hanko by a hanko craftsman. One by one, they are pressed into a vessel by hand. Even a slight change in the amount of force pressed on the judge will change its expression, causing it to bleed and rub. It can also be said that it is the taste of the judge.
3. Brush]
Hand-painted painting by a hand-painted craftsman with a brush. The color applied to the vessel before firing is different from the color that appears after firing, so in order to achieve the desired color, the pen pressure is changed, the brush is applied for a longer period of time, and the amount of pigment contained is adjusted. It can be said that it is a true craftsmanship from many years of experience.
In addition, the finished vessel certainly has a trajectory of craftsmanship's handiwork. Finger marks, the flow of the glaze, and the amount of force when the judge is pressed. There is an expression that appears because it is a vessel that cannot be completed without human hands.
We cannot return or exchange for these reasons, so we appreciate your understanding.
We hope that you will enjoy it as the individuality of each vessel, which is born only because it is done by hand.
About the eye stop of
potteryPottery is weaker than porcelain and semi-porcelain, and because it has high water absorption, it is easy for dirt to stain, and in rare cases, water may leak. It is recommended to treat the eyes before use.
* Eye closure has the effect of reducing the absorption of ingredients and dirt from cooking. However, it does not have the effect of completely preventing their absorption.
1) Place a plain clean cloth on the bottom of the pot, put a bowl on top of it, and put the stirred rice juice so that the bowl is covered.
2) Bring to a boil over low to medium heat, then boil over low heat for about 20 minutes so that it does not boil. If you boil it, the bottom of the pot and the tableware may collide with each other and break, so please be careful.
3) After turning off the heat, leave the bowl on and let it cool. When it cools down, take out the bowl and wash it.
4) Wipe with a dry cloth and let dry naturally. There are individual differences, but please dry it thoroughly in the sun for at least one day.
