Description
Unveiling the Future Standard for Sake Evaluation.A groundbreaking vessel designed to establish a new benchmark for sake evaluation and propel Japanese sake onto the global stage.
For centuries, inconsistent tasting practices due to varied glassware have hindered the global appreciation of sake's diverse flavor and aroma profiles.
Glassbacca, in collaboration with the National Research Institute of Brewing (NRIB), Japan's leading authority on sake research, has taken a bold step to address this challenge.
Therefore, GLASSBACCA has developed a special glass "SAKE TASTING GLASS" that serves as a "guide" for Japan sake tasting through joint research with the Alcoholic Beverage Research Institute, the only public sake research institute in Japan. By creating standards for future Japan sake and creating a sense of unity and convincing in evaluation, we will support the global expansion of Japan sake and give it to
everyone who loves, learns, and conveys Japan sake.
What is SAKE TASTING GLASS, which will create the standard for Japan sake in the future.
Three features of "ease of handedness"
1. Enhanced Aroma Perception
The unique bulging shape and increased headspace encourage the release of volatile compounds, allowing for a more nuanced appreciation of subtle fragrances.
This shape also amplifies the body and fragrance elements of the sake.
2. Precise Control Mouthpiece
The slightly extended lip facilitates controlled intake, ensuring the sake coats the entire tongue and reveals its full flavor spectrum.
3. Swirling Advantage
Deviating from traditional glasses, the innovative base with legs provides the ideal height for swirling, enhancing aroma release and intensifying the sensory experience.
Spinning the sake faster on the glass wall allows for a quicker and more pronounced scent experience.
Background of birth
We felt that there was a part of Japan sake that was not properly understood and evaluated around the world, and we thought that in order for Japan sake to become a world sake, it was necessary to have a container that would have a certain stability in the evaluation.
Since the evaluation will naturally change if the glass (container) changes, it is a glass that plays one of the roles of further increasing the number of communicators and drinkers by setting standards for containers and further improving the reliability of evaluation.
Usage / usage scene
Itis a glass that can be used in a wide range of scenes such as Japan Sake Fair, sake breweries, people who study Japan sake, Japan sake events, restaurants, etc.
NRIB National Research Institute of Brewing is the only national research institute on alcoholic beverages in Japan.
"Precautions for use"
・ Wash with a neutral detergent.
・Be careful when washing the inside of the glass. Twisting and washing from the inside will cause the glass to break.
・Do not use in microwave ovens, ovens, or open flames. It can be used in a dishwasher.
