Florentine
The Florentine series was introduced in 1874 and is one of Wedgwood's most dignified and formal patterns among its many series.
The design is based on a grotesque pattern popular in the 16th century, and features delicate depictions of auspicious motifs such as the griffin, the protector of property, the phoenix, the phoenix, and the dolphin, the symbol of Poseidon, the god of the sea.
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary, the inside of the cup was refreshed with a simple plain white background. Wedgwood's iconic Florentine pattern will 150th anniversary in 2024. In addition to Turquoise (Light Blue), five new colors are being introduced for this memorable year: Citron (Yellow), Fuchsia (Pink), Marine (Indigo Blue), Salmon (Salmon Pink), and Verde (Green).
Wedgwood
Wedgwood is a western tableware brand founded in 1759 by Josiah Wedgwood, known as the "Father of English Pottery".
After the Jasparware and its famous delicate relief, the Queen's Ware and the Black Basalt, here is the Fine Bone China, with its glassy but solid texture.
The company's fame was secured through the patronage of the British Royal Family and other royalty and aristocracy, and even today, its noble, beautiful, and high-quality products continue to attract people from all over the world.
Please Note;
・ The design of the backstamp may differ from the product image depending on the production period.
The design with the Wedgwood "W" and the Portland jar logo is being phased out for new production and replaced with a "WEDGWOOD" capital letter logo type.
For products with a small backstamp space, such as the back of a cup, only a logo combining a "W" and a Portland jar is attached.
・ Products with gold, silver, platinum or other metal finishes cannot be used in microwave ovens, as they may spark or peel off their paint.
