Strawberry-Thief" (Japan Strawberry Thief) depicts the world view of William Morris, a British thinker and poet who had a great influence on the history of modern design
, "The small trouble of a farmer growing strawberries being pecked by a bird."
It is one of William
Morris' most popular designs.
The design of "Strawberry Thief"
is inspired by the small worries of gardeners in their daily lives.
Morris tried to grow strawberries at Kelmscott Manor, but was
quickly eaten by the gluttonous birds.
As described in Morris' notes, it was actually a different kind of bird, but
Morris designed this bird instead of an adorable thrush.
Black Tone
A design painted in 1892
by John Henry Dearle, William Morris' first pupil.
Morris' favorite British flower "Blackthorn" and
cute wildflowers such as bay lilies, daisies, and violets are in full bloom. Although it is
a floral pattern all over, it is not too sweet and is full of adult atmosphere. Honeysuckle In
1883, Mae Morris, the second daughter of William Morris, painted
a masterpiece "Honeysuckle".
Known as a popular design that is one of Morris & Co.'s 10 masterpieces
, the honeysuckle flowers that bloom majestically while being feminine and gorgeous are also powerful.
Golden
Lily "Golden Lily" is an image of cute spring flowers in blue and pink and elegant and
gorgeous lily flowers intertwined with wild thorns and greenery as
if you were standing in an English garden.
Regardless of whether you are a woman or a man, it
is ideal as an elegant gift with heartfelt gratitude for a special anniversary for those who take care of you on a daily basis, a festive gift or present, but
also a reward for your hard work.
