At the same time, it was built up a unique form of production that repeated many processes while going back and forth between kilns. , "The History of Kyoto ware and Shimizu ware"
Shimizu ware is kyoto pottery, and it is the origin of the name "Kiyomizu" that it was baked in front of the gate of Kiyomizu-dera Temple. As the number of potters increased outside of kiyomizu-dera Temple, they were collectively referred to as "Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki."
Shimizu ware began production from the Momoyama period, and in the early Edo period, Nonomura Ninsei, who is said to be the founder of Kyo-yaki-e, completed brilliant and elegant colored pottery. Ogata Kenzan, who was taught the pottery method, created his own pottery and built a period of prosperity. (The older brother of Ogata Inuiyama, who is five years older than him, is Korin Ogata, a well-known daisei of the rin school.)
and in the late Edo period of the 18th century, Okuda Eisen successfully produced porcelain for the first time in Kyoto, and the first kusu akae and koto ware were restored in Mingsue and Seisei. After that, many potters produced their own old dyeing and red paintings, and many talented craftsmen created their own designs and techniques, and Kyoto became a mecca for Japanese ceramics.
, shimizu ware is delicate and elegant with thin making and beautiful design using advanced rokuro techniques. Even now, after the changing times, it is highly regarded as a high-quality ceramic backed by Kyoto's culture.
