, or when friends come to play.
Also, if you display it as an object in a trio, it is well balanced and even more wonderful.
"Golden Lily" is a
floral pattern that looks like it is standing in an English garden, with cute spring flowers in blue and pink and elegant and gorgeous lily flowers intertwined with wild thorns and greenery.
The design was painted in 1899
by John Henry Dearle, William Morris' first pupil. It is
still one of the most popular of his designs in the Morris style
and a
pattern that clearly demonstrates his design talent.
The style and use of colors are so similar to Morris' design that anyone makes a mistake.
Although it is called a tea cup, it can be used for both tea and coffee. The sharp, lightly
finished vessel shape is very well-balanced and
full of timeless beauty that only simple objects can master.
Both tea time and coffee break are popular among the many cup shapes because they are active in various situations such as those who want to enjoy both tea time and coffee break with the same cup, or
when giving a gift, when the customer does not know whether they prefer coffee or tea
.
Regardless of whether you are a woman or a man, it
is ideal as an elegant gift with heartfelt gratitude for a special anniversary for those who take care of you on a daily basis, a festive gift or present, but
also a reward for your hard work.
William Morris (1834–1896) British
artist active in the field of decorative design in the late 19th century. As well as being an outstanding interior designer, he was also a painter, poet, graphic designer, publisher and socialist activist, and he made remarkable achievements in his field. He influenced the Arts & Crafts movement and is also called the father of modern design.
The master kiln SPODE made great achievements in the British ceramic world in the completion of fine bone china and the rough painting technique by copperplate transfer. In 1806, he was honoured by King George IV as a British royal warrant. In 1816, he released the Blue Italian series with ancient Roman motifs, which is called the culmination of copperplate transfer technology, and has become an eternal bestseller that continues to be loved even after about 200 years.
That tradition continues today when it becomes part of Portmeirion in the UK.
