In the beggining, Tsuiki was making only daily products like copper-kattles, but from the end of Meiji period started to switch producing well-decorated sake and tea cups, luxury items like ornaments and vases. In 1981 Tsuiki was authorized as traditional handicraft of Japan, by the Ministry of Economic Affairs.
