
Japanese Lacquered Chopsticks (Wakasa) / 漆筷子(若狭涂)
In the early days of Edo, about 400 years ago, a wealthy merchant got a lacquered tray from abroad, and imitated it in Wakasa district (the present Obama City in Fukui Pref.).
"Chopsticks of Wakasa" is especially famous, and more than 80% of domestically produced chopsticks is carefully created one by one in this district. At Le-noble, we select the best chopsticks which also fit to European tableware.
