The Blue Onion Series
is a representative series of Meissen that has continued since 1739 to 1739. It is made by applying Chinese dyeing technology. The cobalt-colored pattern on white porcelain is not actually an onion, but a pomegranate or peach. One of the features is that the Meissen mark "blue twin swords" is drawn in the design of the vessel. It was so popular that many similar products were circulated, so it has been included since 1885 to show that it is genuine.
In 1709, the Meissen kiln was the first in Europe to succeed in producing white porcelain. Until then, porcelain had only been imported from the East, and was a very valuable item that only royalty and aristocrats could have. As a result of nine years of research on the orders of August, then Margrave of Saxony (now Germany), white porcelain was born. Since then, Meissen has gained worldwide fame as the oldest kiln in Europe.
The symbol of the sword called "Blue Twin Swords" is said to mean that the secret law cannot be left out. Even now, all the paintings are hand-painted by proud artisans, and the beauty cultivated in this tradition is widely admired.
