Description
There was made high quality table ware for exporting from Japan starting in Edo period. They tried to exceed the highest level of table ware, and create a porcelain which was so thin like an Egg Shell. That was called "Rankakude" in Japan, and also called "Egg Shell" and extolment from Westerners. Nowadays, that old technique has just re-created in Arita city which is famous for the porcelain industry. The thickness is made only about 1mm, and when we hold up to the light, we can see through on it. The surface conjures image of "cocoon" and the shape is very simple because they want to show a whiteness of Arita ware.
The Egg Shell series won a prise in the 109th Kyushu Yamaguchi Touji exhibition in 2012.

These products are adhering to the thinness made from the original process by handwork. For the reason, a design and size have variation in some.
The cup adhered to thinness, there is a possibility of a burn when a hot beverage is poured in. Please refrain to use when you pour a hot beverage to the cup. Moreover, please do not carry out close by an open flame or a cooking-by-heating machine.
Please stop use when you get a crack on a cup.
Please do not apply strong power. It becomes a cause of breakage.
Please treat it carefully at the time of washing or use and be careful not to get injured.

Please use a neutral detergent when you wash.
Since it becomes a cause of crack, please do not use of metal brush, the brush containing abrasive soap, cleanser, etc.
Please avoid to use of a dish washer. We recommend you wash by hand.
