Mezzaluna was founded in 1970 by Mario Datteri, a sculptor from Perugia, Italy, as an art and ceramics institute.
In 1994, daughter Roberta Datteri joined the family business, where her deep love of the arts led her to study management and restructure the family company structure.
The company started its furniture and interior design business with traditional manufacturing processes and equipment, and entered the international market around 2000, with its products now being sold mainly in Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Arab countries, the USA and the Philippines.
