Excellent items from the production areas of traditional crafts and industries in various Japan regions are
refined by Teisaburo Nishikawa Shoten and
are made with modern sensibility and technology.
Thank you for your understanding in advance.
Tenge means heavenly flower.
Matte white porcelain wrapped in a cloisonne pattern that looks like bulging lace.
The cloisonne pattern is a continuous crest made of four circles of the same size connected on top of each other.
It is said that the circle expanded infinitely in all directions to four directions, and that it became cloisonne on all sides.
The teapot, which is both plump and dignified, has
the motif of a kanbin, one of the traditional Japanese sake cups.
You can pour plenty of 800 ml of hot water.
The spout has a shape that prevents dripping with reference to the traditional shape cultivated in the teapot.
The crafted stainless steel handle is
manufactured using modern precision metal processing technology and finished with Tsubame Sanjo in Niigata.
In addition, the lid can be turned over and hooked to the tea leaf cup or the edge of the teapot so
that it does not stain the table when pouring hot water.
With a stainless steel tea strainer, we also pursued convenience.
About glazed porcelain, the
part where the surface is matte and there is no glass luster is glazed. It is
easier to get dirty and scratched than other products
, so please handle it with care.

Japanese Traditional Arts and Crafts/KYOTO WARE・KIYOMIZU WARE
The ancient capital of Kyoto is Gojozaka. Nishikawa Teisaburo Shoten has a shop in an area lined with pottery kilns and pottery studios. Since our founding in 1917, we have been selling pottery and porcelain, mainly Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-ware, both in Japan and overseas. The first owner, Teisaburo Nishikawa, exhibited at the 1958 Belgian World Expo and introduced Kiyomizu ware, and the second generation Keitaro also began to handle excellent traditional crafts and miscellaneous goods of the Japan. The
current president, Ms. Kayoko, succeeded her predecessor and is working hard to promote the sale of Kiyomizu-yaki and other traditional crafts of Japan, and disseminate information about the excellent traditional culture of Japan to the world.
As a long-established company that will soon celebrate its 100th anniversary, we export a variety of items such as Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki, Kyoto's representative brands, Buddhist utensils, iron products, lacquerware, kimonos, antiques, tableware, and gift items to dozens of countries around the world, including Europe and the United States, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, China, and Australia.
NISHIKAWA JAPAN is a teaware brand of Nishikawa Teisaburo Shoten Co., Ltd., a ceramic dealer headquartered in Gojozaka, Kyoto. Utilizing the knowledge and experience cultivated since our founding in 1917, this is a new teaware product born in Japan that was born by combining traditional crafts and industries from all over Japan.
The name of the teaware brand "NISHIKAWA JAPAN" comes from the engraving of tea utensils that Nishikawa Teisaburo Shoten exported to Europe and the United States when it was first founded. We often receive inquiries from overseas about products with this engraving, and we were deeply moved by the fact that the products created by the first owner, Teisaburo, continue to be loved beyond borders and centuries, and it was revived as a new brand name.
