About the pattern
・ Polish pottery is painted by stamping, hand drawing with a paintbrush, or a combination thereof. And it is a work that is done one by one by the hands of craftsmen, and each manufacturer positions it as the most important element of Polish Pottery.
・ Stamps and hand-drawn designs are different from painting by transfer or printing for mass production (so-called printed ones), and the big attraction is that you can see differences in each one even with the same design. The shades of color, the spacing and position of stamped patterns, the accuracy of the straight lines of successive stamps, and the differences in patterns and curves due to paintbrush drawing, are all unique and unique Polish Pottery, which creates the warmth unique to handmade and leads to the enjoyment of use, which is widely loved.
About the shape
The shape is molded by plaster molds. The work of removing it from the plaster and smoothing the surface is also done by hand. Therefore, flat areas are not perfectly horizontal, circles and squares are not perfect, and some distortion and warping can be seen. There is an individual difference of about 5 mm in size of the same product due to differences in shrinkage rate after baking.
Unlike industrial products that have been modernized in terms of finish, each one is done by hand using the old-fashioned method. Small indentations and roughness can be seen in areas that are not covered by glaze such as hills, small holes about the size of needle holes in areas where glaze is applied, adhesion of clay powder, and small scratches.
About products with
lids Products with lids such as sugar pots may be loose and slightly rattled at the point where the lid and the vessel part meet.
About back stamps
・ The design of back stamps may vary depending on the time of manufacture. They also differ in shades and sizes. It is very difficult to deliver products with the same print, and we cannot handle them. Please note.
