Worked as a painting craftsman at Shimizu ware potteries after graduating from high school. Two years later, he entered the Kyoto Prefectural Ceramics Advanced Technology Specialist and become a dyeing craftsman. After getting married, he continued to work at home and paint at the potteries, and in 1996, at the be recommended of a friend, he became a painting instructor at Kyoto Traditional Craft University, teaching practical training in dyeing and painting. After that, he met "Red Painting" and "Kyo Satsuma", studied on his own, and held an exhibition three years later. In 2011, he appeared in NHK's "Vase of Beauty", and in 2012 he became a painting lecturer at Kyoto University of Arts and Crafts.
