The Mainio Sarastus series was designed in 1965 by Raija Uosikkinen (1923-2004), who had decorated many vintage Arabic products, and is a "Ivalo" that evokes the snowy Finnish winter forest drawn with dots and lines. It was inspired by
Like Ivalo, the Mainio series has a clean form with black lines like a grove of trees, and small polka dots adorn those lines.
